Our Mission

The mission of Silverlake Scream Show (SSS) is to ensure that emerging horror filmmakers in Los Angeles have equitable access to educational and financial resources. We empower artists to produce professional-quality films that enrich and elevate the horror genre, and we foster community through inclusive events and exciting networking opportunities. Above all, as a nonprofit, we believe in the transformative power of art and film: how cathartic it is to create, and how deeply impactful it can resonate with those who watch. We want emerging directors to have the opportunity to use horror as a meaningful way to explore, process and spark conversation around issues that matter most to them.
